 Foodies from throughout Appalachia and the nation mark the start of spring with the Annual "Feast of the Ramson" Ramp Festival. Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Richwood High School. 

Held annual and the Summersville Lake Retreat and Lighthouse, this is an action packed weekend of live music, biker games, vendors, camping, raffles, tattoos, dice run, Wall of Death stunt show, guided ride on the Hellbender motorsports route, and more!

 
With 60 miles of shoreline, Summersville Lake has room to roam and activities for all. Bring your family or friends to create memories and traditions. In addition to the lake, there are outdoor adventures at every turn. 

The Nicholas County Fair is held annually in July at the Nicholas County Veterans Memorial  Park in Summersville, West Virginia. The Fair brings together family and friends with visitors from around the state and nation to enjoy all the fair has to offer: amusement rides, food, live music, exhibits, and much more, 

Now we know what you're thinking ... a potato festival?  It's more than some mash and chips, it's a great time for all with multiple vendors, rides, slides, and fun for all. 

 The 2026 West Virginia Bigfoot Festival is scheduled for October 9–11, 2026, at  the Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park. This multi-day event features top cryptozoology speakers, dozens of food trucks, and up to 400 vendors. It is a premier gathering for enthusiasts, often drawing thousands to the area to celebrate the legendary creature.  .
